Sometimes the honest answer is that it is not, and we will tell you that on the phone before anybody drives anywhere.

We serve Seattle and the Puget Sound area. We work out of trucks and job sites rather than a storefront, so there is no showroom to visit, and every estimate happens at your house where the problem actually is.
What happens when you call
Most people who call us have been reading about spray foam for two or three weeks and are bracing for a sales pitch. Here is the whole sequence so there are no surprises in it.
Ten minutes on the phone
You describe the house and the problem. We ask about age, heating, and which room misbehaves. Often we can name the likely cause right there.
A visit, if it is warranted
We come out, get into the crawl space or attic, and look at what is actually there. Usually 45 minutes to an hour. You do not need to clear your whole day.
A written number
Scope, product, thickness, and price in writing, with the reasoning. No tablet presentation, no discount that expires tonight, no signature expected on the spot.
You think about it
Take a week. Get other bids. We would rather you compare us properly than feel rushed into it, and we are happy to explain someone else’s quote.

What to have handy when you call
You do not need any of this to pick up the phone. But if you have it, the conversation gets much more useful, and we can often give you a realistic range before we ever visit.
- Roughly when the house was built. A 1920s Craftsman, a 1958 rambler, and a 1994 Kent subdivision have completely different insulation problems. The decade tells us more than the square footage does.
- Which area is the problem. Cold floors point at the crawl space. A hot or freezing upstairs points at the attic. A bonus room over the garage is usually its own specific story.
- How you heat the place. Heat pump, gas furnace, electric baseboard, or ductless. This changes the payback math a lot, and electric baseboard changes it most.
- What is in there now, if you know. Fibreglass batts, blown-in, foam board, nothing at all. Wet, rodent chewed, or fallen down all count as useful information.
- Anything an inspector told you. If a plumber, pest company, or home inspector came up from under the house and used the word “soaked” or “rodents,” say so first. That changes the order of operations.
- A recent power or gas bill. Not required. But if you want the savings conversation to be honest rather than hopeful, the actual numbers are what make it honest.

Closed-cell runs roughly $1.00 to $2.00 per board foot installed here, open-cell around $0.50 to $0.70, and a 1,000 square foot area at three inches commonly lands somewhere around $2,200 to $5,400. A firm number still needs someone to look at the house.

Questions about getting in touch
How fast will you get back to me?
If you call during working hours and we cannot pick up, we return the call the same day. Voicemails left in the evening get answered the next morning. Emails and form messages usually get a reply within one business day. If two days go by and you have heard nothing, call the number again, because something went wrong on our end rather than yours.
How far out are you booking?
It moves with the season. Late autumn and the first genuinely cold weeks of winter are the busiest stretch of our year, because that is when cold floors and a shocking power bill arrive in the same week. Estimates are usually available within a few days year round. The install date depends on the size of the job and whether removal or a moisture fix has to happen first. We will give you a real date rather than a vague one, and we will tell you if we are too booked to help you on the timeline you need.
Is the estimate really free, and is there any pressure?
Yes, it is free, and no, there is no pressure. We look at the house, write down what it needs, and give you a price. You are welcome to take that number, sit on it, and get two more bids. We would rather lose a job to a good competitor than win it by pushing somebody. If you want, we will walk you through the other quotes and point out what to look for in them.
Do I have to be home for the estimate?
Someone does need to let us into the crawl space hatch or the attic access, and it helps if the person who lives with the cold room is there to describe it. The visit usually takes 45 minutes to an hour. If you need to hand off a key and get the walkthrough by phone afterwards, that works too, we will just send photos of what we found down there.
Can I visit your office or showroom?
There is no showroom. We are a spray foam crew, not a retail operation, so we spend the day in attics and crawl spaces around the Puget Sound. Everything that matters happens at your house anyway, because the only way to specify this work correctly is to look at your actual assembly. Phone, email, and the form on this page are the ways in.
I already have spray foam and I think it was done badly. Will you look at it?
Yes, and we get that call fairly often. Tell us what you are seeing: a smell that has not faded, foam that feels soft where it should be rigid, gaps at the edges, or a thickness that does not match what you paid for.
